We are highlighting another video in our series featuring equity-minded nurses talking about their work. Ashley Darcy-Mahoney, PhD, NNP-BC, FAAN, RWJF senior nurse scholar and professor at The George Washington University School of Nursing, says it’s important to look at a patient’s whole life history to understand how to care for them.
The AARP Center for Health Equity Through Nursing℠ (A-CHEN) is seeking nurses to serve as positive, professional role models for nursing students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-serving institutions, and American Indian/Alaska Native schools. Mentors benefit by being part of someone else’s growth and development in the nursing profession, and by growing their own skills and learning from their mentees. Fill out a short questionnaire to find out if it’s right for you!
The Mississippi Action Coalition in collaboration with the Nurses on Boards Coalition invites other Action Coalitions to join in a series of town hall meetings to discuss strengthening nurses’ voices to improve health equity.
