Last week, I voted for the state’s budget, which made historic investments in education and other services, without raising taxes - and the Republicans are holding it hostage.
Quality public education is critical to providing opportunities for our children and the future of our communities. School districts in my district will collectively see more than $29 million in investment.
They will also save more than $1.3 million as part of a series of cyber charter school reforms that will bring greater transparency, accountability, and cost-efficiencies to the cyber charter system.
I also voted in favor of funding for our state related universities and against thousands of dollars in tuition hikes.
