You, Patriot, can give people a trial.

You, Patriot, can give people a judge.

You, Patriot, can give people a jury.

You, Patriot, have the chance to end indefinite detention in the United States of America . . . indefinitely.

That’s what can happen if we pass an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act.

This week, the U.S. House is debating the 2024 NDAA, and you and I have a chance to make a BIG change.

Representative Matt Rosendale (R-MT) has put forward an amendment to the NDAA that will end the indefinite detention of American citizens without due process – something Campaign for Liberty has fought for since President Barack Obama signed it into law in 2012.

In 2011, Campaign for Liberty almost stopped passage of the NDAA over this issue.

Our efforts brought unprecedented attention to the threat of allowing the government to detain American citizens without due process.

As a result of the outcry from Campaign for Liberty supporters like you, Barack Obama publicly pledged never to use it. . .

But a “pledge” does not have the power of law.

And now that the Biden regime has crossed the line, declaring protesters to be “insurrectionists” and even suspending some of their due process rights, this provision of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) needs to be removed now.

The truth is, NO U.S. president should have the power to lock up American citizens and throw away the key without due process.

You may think you are not in danger of being indefinitely detained because you obey the law.

But Patriot, without due process, there is no requirement for the government to prove the detainee did anything wrong.

There is no trial.

There is no burden of proof.

There isn’t even a need for the government to verify the identity of the person they’ve arrested.

Unless the unconstitutional provision is repealed, there is no way to stop any U.S. president from indefinitely detaining their most vocal opponents.

The government would have you believe there are Americans out there who are too dangerous to release . . . but somehow, they cannot be prosecuted.

In other words, they want to “indefinitely” detain people they cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt have broken any law.

No one should be indefinitely detained without charge or trial based on a president’s belief that the person is “dangerous.” No president — and certainly no government bureaucrat — should ever be given the power to order a person indefinitely detained without charge or trial on the basis of perceived future danger.

Patriot, this dangerous power should have been reined in long ago, but now it’s urgent we do so.

Tell your congressman to support the Rosendale Amendment and terminate the unconstitutional indefinite detention of Americans without trial.

All it takes is for this amendment to be adopted – and we can win this fight, if enough patriots speak out. The government has shown zero evidence this measure served any purpose in protecting our national security in the past ten years.

But this administration is a prime example of why government should NEVER be given this power.
