Congressman Al Green Joins Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia to Present a Symbolic Check of $499,986 to the Houston Health Department 

(Houston, TX) — On Monday, July 10, 2023, during a press conference held at the Houston Botanic Garden, Congressman Al Green joined Rep. Sylvia Garcia, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide a substantial grant of $499,986 to the Houston Health Department. This funding will support crucial initiatives aimed at improving air quality standards in Sunnyside and surrounding areas.
