Consider this: The electric version of America's best-selling vehicle, the Ford F-150, costs $26,000 more than the base gas model. To make up for this extra cost, you'd have to drive your electric F-150 for over 20 years. However, the average electric car's battery won't last more than 12 years. Does this sound like a good deal to you, John? <>



But it gets worse. <> This transition to electric vehicles could lead to increased dependence on China, the leading source of minerals needed to create batteries. Plus, with the EPA's new rule requiring power plants to sequester 90% of their carbon emissions, electricity costs are set to skyrocket, making these vehicles even less cost-effective.
