After our big FEC deadline push for June 30th, I figured we could all use a break. So I took some time off to recharge and be with family, and I didn’t want to ask anything of you either.

But I know that couldn’t last forever. I cannot get caught asleep at the wheel with my reelection around the corner.

I’m expecting an expensive race. The gun lobby is going to spend money to beat me, and Connecticut is full of self-funding billionaires who can easily throw $50 million into this race.

Frankly, the inroads that Republicans have made in states like New York last cycle were a result of our own complacency. Republicans won places that Biden won by double-digits, and I’m not going to let that happen here.

So I need your help to keep up our momentum. I know people cannot give every time we ask — and I don’t expect that in that slightest. But I hope when you can spare a donation, you’ll consider supporting my reelection.
