Dear MoveOn member,
MoveOn's Banned Bookmobile has debuted—and it's a huge hit! The Washington Post reported last week on the debut of the Banned Bookmobile, saying, "[I]f book burners are moving fast, defenders of our literary freedom are moving faster."1
The Banned Bookmobile is such a hit that it ran out of free books to give away in the first 10 minutes during our first event.
Now we need your help to restock the Banned Bookmobile with thousands of the most banned books in America—and, if we raise enough money, add more stops to the Banned Bookmobile Tour.
John, we have been able to run the Banned Bookmobile thanks only to generous donations from members like you, and we want to make sure you know exactly where your money is going. Here's a breakdown:
And this budget does not include additional costs for security or last-minute needs.
What do you say? Will you chip in $10 a month to buy more books and pay for the gas, insurance, security, and other costs to add dates to the Banned Bookmobile Tour and keep it going for months to come?
No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
$10 a month. It may not seem like a lot of money compared to the eye-popping donations funding the MAGA movement from Wall Street and right-wing billionaires.
But when thousands of MoveOn members from across the country join forces and chip in $10 a month, we are more powerful than the Super PACs that are bankrolling the right-wing effort to ban books.
In fact, it's $10 monthly grassroots donations that are making the Banned Bookmobile Tour possible.
And it will be $10 monthly grassroots donations that allow us to restock the Banned Bookmobile with banned books and bring the Bookmobile to more cities and states across the country.
Will you join the thousands of MoveOn members who are chipping in to power the Banned Bookmobile by making a $10 monthly gift?
No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Book bans have skyrocketed thanks to right-wing state laws which have forced teachers to remove books from their classrooms. In response, MoveOn is launching a "Banned Bookmobile," filling it with books that the far right has banned, and driving it around to hand out those books, for free, in highly trafficked areas that will attract media attention. To keep the Banned Bookmobile up and running into 2024, we need your help.
Will you start a monthly gift to power our critical work?
