We suspected this was true, but a new report from the
Associated Press just confirmed it:
The path to the House majority in 2024 will run through California’s competitive swing districts like CA-27.
According to the
AP, contested California districts will be “critical” in determining the balance of power in the House. That includes CA-27 where George is running in a tossup race to unseat anti-choice Republican Mike Garcia.
In fact, George is running in the ONLY tossup district in Southern California currently held by a Republican. With just 5 seats needed to swing the majority, a win here could literally tip the scales.
The truth is that George's campaign is now a direct threat to McCarthy's Speakership. They spent
millions boosting Garcia last year, and we only expect more this time around. Early fundraising will be key in getting us on track to win this race.
