It all starts when DACA recipients, who need help covering their DACA renewal fee, reach out to our team. They can apply to have their renewal fees covered through our DACA Renewal Fund.
Next, we check to see if we have enough contributions in our DACA Renewal Fund to cover the $495 application fee.
But, if we don’t have enough to cover their renewal fee, we reach out to grassroots supporters like you — whose donations of $25, $100, and even $495 at a time fully fund this critical program.
Renewing DACA status is so critical for eligible folks because DACA is what allows immigrant youth to keep their work permits and stay protected from deportation. If an immigrant youth can’t cover the renewal fee, they risk losing their safety and livelihood.
Friend, we need to raise enough funds to help 200 immigrant youth on our waitlist cover their renewal fees in order to reopen our DACA Renewal Fund — and we’re hoping you can help chip away at that goal.
