Dear John,
The message from Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) was written in big red letters:
WE NEED YOUR HELP.
CACC is packed with homeless pets. That's very bad news for the pets in their system. And so they reached out to PAWS Chicago.
We're rescuing as many as we can. We transferred 212 pets from CACC in June. And we've rescued more than 100 already this month. Now with your help, we will save even more.
If you're considering adoption, now is the perfect time.
Every animal who gets adopted makes space at PAWS for another animal who might otherwise be facing euthanasia. With a single act, you can instantly change two lives. Please open your heart and your home today.

Meet Cascabel! She loves daily walks and even more so, she loves to say hi to all the dogs she meets. Did you say dog park? Cascabel loves to socialize and make new canine friends. She is a big girl, so she would do best in a home with children ages 5 and up.

Meet Gilly! If you’re ready to be equal parts paparazzi and playground monitor, a kitten might be for you! Having a kitten in your home is better than having a Netflix subscription—you won’t be able to stop watching their antics.

Meet Cory! If days full of puppy dog eyes, constant entertainment, and just a little bit of mischief sound like a plan to you, a puppy might be your perfect match! You’ll get to see them enjoy all of the new things that the world has to offer and build a lifelong bond with them through training and adventure.
