Dear friends of the Fund, Plus, you can pay a visit to the Grey House or take a trip to Fleet Street (maybe don't eat the pies, though). And don't forget—our annual golf and tennis outing is just around the corner! Thank you for continuing to support a life in the arts, and we hope to see you soon.
Reinventing Elvis: The ‘68 Comeback Directors Guild of America Paramount+, the Entertainment Community Fund and Meteor 17 invite you to be part of the first audience to see an exclusive advance screening of a new documentary which tells the riveting story of Elvis Presley, legendary director Steve Binder and the creation of the 1968 Comeback Special—a defining moment where Elvis took control of his life, his career and his legacy. Told from the unique perspective of Emmy Award-winning television director Steve Binder, the documentary reveals what happened behind the scenes of this now historic hour of television and features interviews with Elvis experts and recollections from those who attended the special in-person. You’ll also experience all-new versions of iconic Elvis hits interpreted by contemporary musicians, including superstar Darius Rucker, Latin Grammy winner Maffio and America’s Got Talent finalist Drake Milligan. Be certain to stay after the screening for a Q&A with the documentary’s Director John Scheinfeld, moderated by the film’s Producer Spencer Proffer, Meteor 17 Music & Media Founder.
Grey House Producer's Picks Lyceum Theatre See top-notch theater and feel good about helping others! Producer’s Picks tickets are donated by the producers so your entire ticket purchase goes to support the Entertainment Community Fund’s programs and services. Two-time Tony Award winner Laurie Metcalf (A Doll’s House, Part 2) stars in this first-of-its-kind Broadway experience, alongside Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and Emmy nominee Paul Sparks (House of Cards). The show is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (The Humans, Wicked) and written by Levi Holloway. When a couple crashes their car in the mountains, they seek shelter in an isolated cabin. Its inhabitants, though somewhat unusual, are eager to make their guests feel right at home. But as the blizzard outside rages on and one night turns into several, the couple becomes less and less sure of what's true—about their hosts, themselves and why that sound in the walls keeps getting louder. Audience members are invited to stay for post-show conversation “Show & Hell” to discuss and share thoughts and theories about the play.
