This is going to be our year.

 

Michigan's 7th Congressional District is now an open seat with the Democrat running for Senate, giving us the best chance in years to win back this seat.

 

I plan on taking it back for us.

 

Today I officially announced my candidacy because I know that with your help we can flip this seat red, save our majority in Congress, and take another vote away from Joe Biden and his failed agenda.

 

This will be a tough race, but it is winnable. I know because I barely lost last year in what became the most expensive race in the country. My opponent was Biden's top ally in Michigan and she outspent me by more than 4-to-1, but that won't happen this time.

 

Americans have had enough of Biden's rampant inflation, high gas prices, out-of-control spending, and refusal to secure our southern border. We can — we must — do better!

It’s time to secure your future, and that starts with taking it back with my Four Pillars of Security plan:

1. National Security: It’s time we take the growing threat China presents seriously. I will ensure that we are taking the right steps to protect the American people from an increasingly hostile Chinese Communist Party.
2. Border Security: We must stop the flow of illegal immigrants, drugs and crime coming across the border. I've been there and I've seen the crisis first-hand.
3. Neighborhood Security: Years of Democrat anti-police policies has led to the highest crime in decades. It's time to make our streets safe again.
4. Economic Security: It's time to rein in inflation, cut government spending, lower taxes, and put America First in our trade policies.

Public service isn’t something I take lightly. 

 

I spent 22 years in the U.S. Army, serving in the Iraq war, Guantanamo Bay, Kuwait and the Korean DMZ. I flew more than 1,000 hours in the cockpit of the most sophisticated helicopters in the world.

 

In the State Senate, I voted to protect taxpayers from having their tax dollars given to Chinese Communist-owned companies, pushed for reinvestment in American energy, and defended our communities from the radical left's woke policies.

 

Biden and his allies know an open seat is our best chance to win and, mark my words, they will do anything they can and spend millions of dollars to keep us from turning District 7 RED. 

 

Today is my chance to show the nation that Michiganders are tired of the failed leadership they are getting under Biden and Whitmer.
