John,
[ [link removed] ]A CBS News headline detailing the historic flooding parts of western
New England and New York state have seen.
In the past day, parts of the Northeast have seen upwards of 4 to 8 inches
of rain—the equivalent of about two months worth of water under normal
conditions. This intensity of flooding has not been seen in the region
since 2011.
Whether it's devastating wildfires across California, hazardous air
quality, and now historic flooding in New England, it’s clear that these
once rare climate events have become our new normal.
As these events become increasingly common, Congress must take bold action
to address the worsening climate crisis. The cost of inaction is too great
for us to be complacent.
Katie has spent her career taking on corporate interests and bringing
accountability to polluters once deemed too powerful to take on. In the
House, she’s been at the forefront of key spending bills that have made
crucial investments to address climate change while saving taxpayer money.
Once in the U.S. Senate, Katie will fight to build on the progress we’ve
made to expand clean energy, protect our natural resources, and continue
to hold corporate polluters responsible for their own messes.

crisis, will you add your name to our petition today to demand Congress to
act on climate change?
