*Notice description:?*The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and the Department of Commerce will hold public information and comparative environmental analysis (CEA) scoping meetings on the application of Magellan Pipeline Company L.P. for a proposed pipeline routing permit to relocate approximately 0.74-mile of existing 8-inch petroleum product pipeline from federal lands managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service within the Northern Tallgrass Prairie National Wildlife Refuge, and the Pipestone National Monument. The purpose of the meetings is to provide information about the proposed project and state's pipeline route permit process; to respond to questions from the public; and to provide members of the public an opportunity to participate in developing the scope of the CEA for the project. This includes commenting on methods to minimize, mitigate, and avoid potential impacts; and proposing alternative routes and route segments for consideration.

If proposing an alternative route or route segment, consider what impact the alternative addresses; and how the alternative mitigates the impacts when compared to the applicant's proposed route. The alternative must include an analysis of human and environmental impacts, unless it is mostly the same information Magellan provided in its application. Minn. R. 7852.1400, subp. 3 requires that you identify any route or route segment alternative on a map or aerial photo. Aerial Application of Herbicides for Reforestation Purposes on State Forest Lands

*Notice description:?*The MN Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry is planning to aerially apply herbicides on state forest lands. Herbicide applications will occur using a helicopter on 25 regenerating sites comprising 964 acres in Cook, Crow Wing, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods, Pine, Roseau, and St Louis counties in the Backus, Hibbing, Littlefork, Sandstone, Tower, Two Harbors, and Warroad administrative areas. These applications will be used to prepare sites for tree planting and for the release of planted trees from competing vegetation. The following herbicides and surfactants will be used within project sites: Roundup Pro Concentrate, Roundup Custom, Garlon XRT, Chopper, Velpar DF, Oust, Liberate, and Penetron. Aerial application will begin as early as 08/01/2023 and finish by 9/15/2023.
