I can’t wait for my summer travels – and I’m not just talking about a trip to the beach.

Over the next few months, the CCATDP team will be on the road at some of the largest and most important gatherings for activists and state lawmakers, including FreedomFest, Young Americans for Liberty’s Revolution 2023, the State Policy Network’s annual meeting, and the Council of State Governments West annual meeting.

These events are valuable opportunities to identify new advocates, connect with partners, and educate policymakers. And we are only able to attend because of dedicated supporters like you.

It all starts this week in Memphis, Tennessee, at FreedomFest, a summit attracting thousands of activists in the liberty movement every year.

This Thursday at FreedomFest, I am honored to host a main stage panel discussion about the unjust and unfixable death penalty system.

Attendees will hear Christal Martin share her powerful story and opposition to the death penalty as the family member of two murder victims.

Vittorio Nastasi, the Reason Foundation’s Director of Criminal Justice Policy, will break down the death penalty’s failings as a public policy.

Nicholas Cote, our Western Regional Organizer, and Jasmine Woodson, the State Coordinator for Tennessee Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty, will explain why states like Arizona, Ohio, and Tennessee have halted executions – and why they should not be resumed.
