Last week, Israel conducted a counterterrorism operation in Jenin to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and prevent continued attacks against Israeli civilians.
During the operation, the IDF destroyed weapons factories and operation centers – including across the street from an UNRWA school – and uncovered hundreds of explosive devices that were ready to be used against Israelis.
While these events were unfolding, a Palestinian terrorist rammed a car through a crowd of civilians on a Tel Aviv sidewalk, injuring at least seven Israelis including a pregnant woman who lost her baby due to the injuries she suffered. Hamas praised the attack as "heroic."
Then on Wednesday, terrorists in Gaza fired five rockets at southern Israel, triggering alarms in the southern city of Sderot and nearby towns. All five rockets were intercepted by Iron Dome.
