You're about to read the most obvious statement you'll probably read all day: 2020 is the most consequential election year in a generation.
In 2016, Donald Trump won Pennsylvania by just 44,292 votes out of more than six million cast. It was a crushing blow, but in 2018 we took nothing for granted. Democrats ran an authentic campaign on the belief that every community deserves a platform, and that real change comes from the bottom up, not the other way around.
Voter turnout was at record levels across the Commonwealth, and we can do it all over again so that Pennsylvania picks the next president.
I'd much rather spend my time working on criminal justice reform and supporting Governor Wolf's bold agenda than asking you for money. But the harsh truth is that money helps us sustain the grassroots movement we'll need to support Democrats up and down the ticket.
The good thing about monthly donations is that they provide funds we know we can rely on from month to month — and in turn, I don't have to send you as many emails. Everyone wins.
