While Born Free is best known for our work with lions, going all the way back to Elsa and the ‘Born Free’ film, we love ALL species of big cats, and work around the world to protect them!
Just last month, we rescued two baby cheetah cubs in Ethiopia, who will now have the chance to live long happy lives at our Ensessa Kotteh sanctuary; we also look after rescued leopards at Shamwari Big Cat Sanctuary in South Africa and tigers at Bannerghatta Sanctuary in India and Animanatura Sanctuary in Italy.
But of course, looking after all our big cats – 42 in total – doesn’t come cheap, and that’s where every purchase you make in the Born Free Shop can make a difference.
