In early June, we reached out to get your input on King County's Comprehensive Plan update.
We've heard from more than 1,600 community members who shared their thoughts on affordable housing, climate change, and social equity in our region.
To everyone who has responded, we say...
If you haven't responded yet, we're collecting feedback through Friday, July 15. Please help get us the word out by sharing this message with your friends and neighbors.

Thanks for joining us!
We also want to say thanks to everyone who joined us for our roller skating open house at Southgate Roller Rink on June 22!
- 300+ people attended
- 200 pairs of skates rented
- 500 mocktails served
- 50 bucket hats distributed
Attendees shared feedback on the Comprehensive Plan while enjoying food, music, games, prizes, and free skates. See more photos from the event.

What is the Comprehensive Plan?
The Comprehensive Plan drives County decisions and planning for services in unincorporated areas such as where homes, offices, or stores can be built; how roads, buildings, and trees contribute to the look and feel of neighborhoods; investments in regional services like transit and parks; protection of working farms and forests; and access to clean water, clean air, and a healthy environment.
|
As required by the Washington State Growth Management Act, the Plan guides County policy for the next 20 years for local land use and development regulations in unincorporated King County (places outside of city limits) and for regional services throughout the county, such as transit, sewers, parks, trails, and open space.
How will my responses be used?
King County will use these responses to broadly guide how we consider proposals in the unincorporated areas of King County.
We want to hear from you.
