At this mapathon, we will be mapping the Tandjilé region of Chad
, which has recently undergone a mass measles vaccination. The MSF team is now planning a survey to understand the coverage of vaccination, and needs assistance with mapping the area. The event will feature MSF aid worker Keri Geiger, who will share her experiences as a nursing activities manager in Chad.
A special initiative founded by Doctors Without Borders, American Red Cross, British Red Cross, and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, The Missing Maps Project is powered by volunteers around the world. Using OpenStreetMap, an open, free, and crowd-sourced platform, volunteers map underserved regions in order to provide international organizations, local organizations, and individuals with geographic data to better respond to crises. | |
