My name is Greta Kemp Martin. I’m a nonprofit lawyer advocating for disability rights, a lifelong Mississippian, and I’m running to be Mississippi’s next Attorney General.
I was born and raised in Belmont, Mississippi, the daughter of a nurse and a police officer. My parents demonstrated the value of always giving back, and I knew before I even finished high school that I wanted to be there for those who needed a helping hand.
That’s why I pursued a career in law, and why I continue to choose to represent everyday people, not the corporations and special interests who have excelled off the backs of my neighbors. Now, I serve on the Mississippi Access to Justice Commission – a task force focused on bringing legal services to underserved communities in Mississippi.
I’ve dedicated my life and career to fighting for equity and growth for all Mississippians. And as Attorney General, I will champion progress and move Mississippi forward. Right now, the problems of everyday Mississippians are left to the wayside because our current Attorney General is out of touch with the lives we lead, and the solutions we desperately need. I’m running so that Mississippians have someone on their side in the Attorney General’s office.
Greta Kemp Martin was born, raised, and educated in Mississippi. She is an active member of the Mississippi Bar, and currently works as the Litigation Director for Disability Rights Mississippi, the protection and advocacy agency for the state. As Attorney General, Greta will fight for the rights of everyday Mississippians, and stand up for the working people of this state.
