You probably know by now that I’m Michigan’s #1 fan.

Seriously, there’s so much to love about my home state — and I think the Great Lakes would agree with me.

Michigan is the only state to touch four out of five of the Great Lakes! Which is not only perfect for cooling down on a hot summer day, but it shows how much natural beauty there is to preserve here.

Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve been a fierce advocate for taking strides to address climate change. I’m proud to serve on the Science, Space, and Technology Committee in the House and work towards accomplishing bipartisan legislation to protect the environment.

Last year, we passed the largest climate investment in our nation’s history. But our work is far from over.

I want Americans to be able to enjoy The Great Lakes and Michigan’s nature for generations to come. And with one fifth of the world's supply of surface fresh water, we can’t take what we have for granted.
