I think you’ll find this Politico headline as disturbing as I did, John:

“Glenn Youngkin eyes total control in Virginia”

“Youngkin, who hasn’t entirely closed the door on running for president, could use total control of the state legislature to pass a conservative agenda in a blue-leaning state.”

From coordinated disinformation to targeted attacks on voting rights, VA Republicans – led by occasional governor Glenn Youngkin – are using every available means to permanently lock Democrats out of power in Richmond and make this a reliably red state once again.

(A reliably red state that Youngkin will rely on to boost his inevitable presidential campaign, I might add.)

Before I continue, can I ask you to make a quick grassroots contribution to help us elect champions for democracy in the Commonwealth?

But I don’t want you to feel discouraged, John. 

Because despite what Youngkin and his cronies want us to believe, our values – democracy, equality, choice, freedom – resonate with a broad coalition of voters across the state. It’s up to us to channel that grassroots energy into defending our narrow State Senate majority and taking back the House of Delegates in November.

We have this one chance to crush Youngkin’s dream of an ultra-conservative Virginia and defend the rights and freedoms of all.
