Santa Fe stands with UPS Teamsters!
Comrades and Friends,

We thank our friends at Earth Care and YUCCA for hosting their monthly Community Swap last weekend, and providing space for us to table and talk to the public about solidarity with the UPS Teamsters. We look forward to continuing this kind of public engagement to build community support for UPS workers as they demand their basic rights. If you haven't had the chance already, please consider signing the Strike Ready pledge.

Tonight from 5-7 PM at Cafe Castro, 2811 Cerrillos road, the Alma Castro campaign will be having a Chips and Chat event open to all supporters! Alma is working to qualify for public matching funds, and to achieve that needs donations of just $5 from registered voters of District 1. If you are unsure whether you live there, check out this tool. To donate, simply use the portal at santafepcf.com.

In two weeks, we will be hosting a fundraiser for our Strike Ready campaign at Cafe Castro (2811 Cerrillos Road), on July 24th, at 6 PM! This will be a potluck style event, so feel free to bring any of your favorite dishes. We're raising money to continue funding our efforts to carry out labor solidarity work, both now and in the future.
As usual, we will be having our reading group this Saturday, 10 AM at Larragoite Park. In light of the ongoing UPS solidarity campaign, we will be beginning the book "Class Struggle Unionism" by Joe Burns. For this week, we'll be reading Chapter 5.

We're proud that New Mexico is sending a total of three delegates and one alternate to the 2023 DSA National Convention. To discuss the ongoing issues facing DSA at the national level, the delegation will be having an open call tonight at 7 PM over zoom to discuss Convention resolutions. Feel free to listen in at this link if you are interested in learning more. If you'd like to support our delegation in paying for travel and lodging costs, please consider donating here.

Santa Fe DSA depends on the support of ordinary workers, rather than the 1%. If you would like to get more involved in any of the chapter's campaigns, or internal organizing work, fill out this form to volunteer. If you haven't already, please consider joining DSA, or donating directly to the chapter.

In solidarity,
Nikhil,
Santa Fe DSA Secretary
