Team – last week was the hottest week on earth in human history. And Arizona is at the epicenter. The temperature hit 116 last week in Phoenix on the Fourth of July, and we may break 120 degrees this week.

Arizona is ground zero when it comes to the climate crisis , and if you’ve been part of my campaign since the beginning, then you know it is one of the main reasons I'm running for Congress. It is already affecting all of our daily lives – and things are just going to keep getting worse unless we take historic, decisive action. If you believe, as I do, that the climate crisis is the existential threat of our time, please take my Climate & Environment Survey right now!

Wildfires, drought, and deadly heat waves have become all too common. Arizona’s announcement that, due to climate change and its effects, there is not enough water supply for even the housing construction that has already been approved will just make mortgages and rents even more difficult to afford.

There is maybe no place in America where the climate crisis is a more clear and present danger than here in Arizona.

To me, this is personal. I spent nearly a decade as the CEO of an environmentally-focused alternative to the Big Banks that put climate change fighting power into people's hands. We helped millions of Americans move billions of dollars of their savings deposits and personal investments out of the reach of Big Oil companies and into accounts that were fossil fuel free. And we funded the planting of over one hundred million trees around the world to suck carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

With the right leadership and vision in Washington D.C., meeting the climate crisis can be an enormous source of economic opportunity for Arizona. But I need your help to get there.

That’s why I’m asking: Will you take my Climate & Environment Survey? Your input on the climate crisis, water issues, and more will help me understand what issues matter most to voters.

Some pundits say voters don't care about climate change. I disagree. I hear people's worries every day -- especially young people. But either way, I'm going to keep on working on this challenge.

Wishing you all the best,

– Andrei
