Team -- In 2001, Representative Barbara Lee was the only member of Congress to vote no on the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF). The vote was 420-1. Rep. Lee faced death threats, required full-time bodyguards, and was vilified in the press.

Today it is more clear than ever: we need to elect more leaders like her to Congress -- representatives that will vote for what's right, not what's easy. Representatives that will lead with courage like Rep. Lee 19 years ago.

Donate $3 today to VoteVets and Barbara Lee, who is up for re-election in November. Rep. Lee is fighting hard every day not just for herself, but to elect Democrats up and down the ticket.

Our support and solidarity couldn't come at a more critical time. Earlier today the House actually voted to repeal the 2002 AUMF and once again attempt to sunset the overly broad legislation and stop endless wars for good.

We're proud of Rep. Lee's vote and her advocacy for our country and -- together -- we will stop at nothing to elect more leadership like hers into office this year and for years to come.

Thank you,
