John,

Did you watch Gov. Ron DeSantis on "Outkick" with Tomi Lahren?

In case you missed it, we put together the highlights below for you, where the Governor answers everything from the failures of Bidenomics to cocaine being found in the White House.

On cocaine being found at the White House:
“I have long believed, I think a lot of us have believed, that the Biden administration has been blowing it on a lot of fronts. But I guess it's a little bit more literal than even I had thought. I could tell you in Florida, my wife and I, we have a six, five, and a three-year-old running around the Governor's Mansion. So that's not something that we see. We do have to occasionally get slime out of the carpet and get marker off the wallpaper. But that's the extent of our adventures at the Governor's Mansion.” — Gov. DeSantis

CHIP IN TO FIRE BIDEN

On the need to reverse Bidenomics:
“Bidenomics means you pay more for everything in life. If you look at the difference between when he took office and now, how much does it cost to get a mortgage? Interest rates are significantly higher. How much is your grocery bill? How much does it cost to buy a new car? So all the staples of life are increasingly becoming unaffordable for average Americans, and it is a direct result of bad federal policy. Borrowing and printing trillions of dollars, the Fed printing trillions of dollars over the last few years sparked significant inflation. Of course, Biden throws gasoline on the fire, not only with his spending policies but also a how he's using the bureaucracy. He's kneecapping American domestic energy industry, he's trying to do things like DEI and ESG in the economy, which
is not good for opportunity or not good for growth. And he's trying to force everybody into an electric vehicle. So all that means is it's going to increasingly be more difficult for the average family to make ends meet. And so as President, we're going to rip up all of Biden's economic policies, and we're going to restore the economy to something where people can actually succeed again.” — Gov. DeSantis

CHIP IN TO RESTORE OUR ECONOMY

On protecting parents’ rights and the innocence of children:

“Well I’ll tell you, I think this is going to be a blockbuster issue. I think it's somewhat of a sleeper issue because the media doesn't really understand the potency. But when you start talking about people like Biden and his ilk, what they're saying is, 'these are all of our kids,' that it is not just your kids, it's quote 'ours.' And I'm just thinking to myself, wait a minute, my wife and I have a six, five, and three-year-old; they are your kids too? No, no, they are our kids. We are the parents, we have the fundamental right to direct their education and upbringing. And here is the thing, that is a view of the primacy of parents, that is not just a Republican view, it is not just an Independent view. There are a lot of Democrat parents who agree with us on this. So I
think the Left's playing with fire when they think that they can use schools and other institutions to supersede the rights of parents... So we have to reestablish the rights of parents, not just in Florida, which we've done, but all across the country. And I think you have a Left-wing movement in this country that is fundamentally hostile to the rights of parents. The media will say somehow by us standing up for parents, we're just trying to engage in a 'culture war.' Let me tell you, the Left is the one that's waging the culture war; we are simply standing up and fighting back against that and standing up for the freedom of our families to raise their kids the way they see fit.” — Gov. DeSantis

Meet Ron DeSantis

[link removed]

A native Floridian with blue-collar roots, Ron was raised in Dunedin by his mother, a nurse, and father, who installed cable boxes. He attended Dunedin High School and worked his way through Yale University, where he was the captain of the varsity baseball team. He also graduated with honors from Harvard Law School, where he earned a commission in the U.S. Navy as a JAG officer.

During his active-duty service, Ron deployed to Iraq in support of the SEAL mission in Fallujah, Ramadi and the rest of Al Anbar province. His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service and the Iraq Campaign Medal.

Ron also served as a prosecutor in Florida, where he put child predators behind bars. He was elected to Congress in 2012 on a platform of government accountability, advocating for term limits and a balanced budget amendment.

In Congress, DeSantis spearheaded the fight to expose the weaponization of the IRS against conservatives. He also fought to hold accountable the rogue federal agencies involved in manufacturing the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory. As a veteran, DeSantis was a champion for those who have served our country, pushing for reforms to the VA to better serve veterans and expand support for mental health.

In 2018, Ron DeSantis was elected the 46th Governor of Florida. As governor, he has fought for what’s right and taken the arrows for the people he represents. During the darkest days of 2020, when the corrupt establishment, bureaucracy, and corporate media united to force lockdowns and mandates on Americans, DeSantis stood up for freedom – even when it wasn’t popular.

Grounded in his unshakeable belief in America’s founding principles, Governor DeSantis has enacted a bold agenda to transform Florida into a blueprint for the Nation’s revival. Governor DeSantis has delivered win after win on conservative priorities:
-
Saving livelihoods from job-killing lockdowns and vaccine mandates,
-
Protecting citizens from the harmful impacts of Biden’s border crisis by enacting E-Verify and other bold policies against illegal immigration, such as banning sanctuary cities,
-
Defending parental rights and eliminating CRT,
-
Defunding DEI bureaucracy in higher ed and holding tenured professors accountable,
-
Waging war on woke power-grabs like ESG and central bank digital currency,
-
Enacting the strongest medical freedom laws in the nation,
-
Turning Florida into a model for election integrity,
-
Protecting the unborn,
-
Standing up for the 2nd Amendment by making Florida a constitutional carry state,
-
Expanding education freedom,
-
Prohibiting land purchases by the CCP and related individuals and entities,
-
Lowering prescription drug costs,
-
Holding woke corporations and school unions accountable,
-
Creating a universal school choice program,
-
Delivering record-breaking tax relief,
-
Helping families achieve the American dream of homeownership,
-
Supporting law enforcement and our veterans,
-
Enacting tougher penalties for drug dealers and sex offenders,
-
Appointing seven conservative justices to the Florida Supreme Court,
-
...and so much more.

After leading Florida with common sense and conviction throughout his first term, DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory of nearly 20 points in 2022. He earned his second term by the largest raw vote margin in state history, winning by more than 1.5 million votes.

But history didn’t stop there:

Governor DeSantis flipped Miami-Dade County red, winning the majority-Hispanic urban county by double digits. Conventional wisdom assumed this was impossible for a Republican – as recently as 2016, Hillary Clinton won Miami-Dade County by nearly 30 points.

Governor DeSantis flipped several other blue counties red, including Palm Beach County. He won 62 out of 67 counties overall.

Compared to his first statewide election in 2018, Governor DeSantis was up +19% with Independents, up +30% with Hispanics, and up +9% with women.

Governor DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory with battle-tested leadership, a bold policy agenda, and never backing down to corporate media or special interests. As he said at his inauguration: “When the world lost its mind – when common sense suddenly became an uncommon virtue – Florida was a refuge of sanity, a citadel of freedom for our fellow Americans and even for people around the world. In captaining the ship of state, we choose to navigate the boisterous sea of liberty rather than cower in the calm docks of despotism.”

Governor DeSantis has ensured that Florida is a free and safe place to raise a family. Thanks to the governor’s leadership, Floridians enjoy a low tax burden, quality education opportunities, and a xxxxxx in place against the Biden administration’s overreach and various elite power grabs that seek to force people to adopt a particular ideology. Thanks to the governor’s vision, this year’s legislative session delivered the most ambitious conservative policy victories in Florida’s history.

This year, Governor DeSantis signed:
-
Record tax relief
-
ESG prohibitions
-
Measures counteracting the influence of the CCP
-
The strongest medical freedom protections in the nation.
-
Reforms reducing the costs of medications by delivering transparency
-
Bold higher education reforms; defunding DEI
-
Improvements to our state’s infrastructure
-
Tough-on-crime, law and order measures, including the death penalty for child rapists
-
The strongest measures protecting Florida from Biden’s border crisis
-
Reforms for paycheck protection , holding accountable wayward school unions
-
Prohibitions on centralized digital currencies in Florida
No leader has accomplished more for his state than Governor DeSantis. He is now sharing his bold vision with the country, leading a movement to deliver the Great American Comeback.
