Advocate,

We are excited to share that Melanie Lawrence, an adult living with cystic fibrosis, has been invited to testify before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Subcommittee on Primary Health and Retirement Security, during a hearing entitled "Superbugs: The Impact of Antimicrobial Resistance on Modern Medicine." The hearing will be held at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, July 11 and livestreamed through the committee's website. We encourage you to watch live and share this news with others within the CF community. This is a big deal.

Melanie will share her powerful story and experiences with antibiotic resistance due to CF-related infections and spotlight the urgent need for new and novel antibiotics.

Please join us in supporting Melanie by sending a message now to urge your members of Congress to cosponsor the PASTEUR Act, a bipartisan bill that will bolster a new era of antibiotic research and development to bring novel treatments into the hands of those who need them the most.
