Peabody Caballo Mining, LLC published notice of the application for a coal mine permit renewal filed with the Land Quality Division of the Department of Environmental Quality. The application was to renew the five year term of permit for the Caballo Mine, PT-0433 in Campbell County, Wyoming. Those wishing to file written objections to the renewal application were provided an opportunity to file objections within 30 days after final publication of the last notice provided on June 3, 2023. The Land Quality Division (LQD) received two written objections to the proposed coal mining permit renewal. In accordance with Wyoming Statute 35-11-406(p)(i) the LQD is providing notice that copies of the objections are available to the public and may be reviewed by requesting a copy of the objections.
