June jobs report provides ‘mixed signals’

New data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed 209,000 jobs were added in June, with a decrease in the unemployment rate to 3.6 percent. NAFCU Chief Economist and Vice President of Research Curt Long breaks down the report in a new Macro Data Flash.

NCUA to host webinar on cyber incident reporting rule

The NCUA will host a webinar Aug. 2 to discuss its new cyber incident notification rule. The rule – set to go into effect Sept. 1 – establishes a 72-hour period for federally-insured credit unions (FICUs) to provide notice to the NCUA of a reportable cyber incident.
