Friends –
Republicans are on the verge of flipping the Virginia State Senate red
this November (they only need to net 3 seats). But if we flip just two
House of Delegates seats blue, we TIE control of the chamber!

We’ve already invested a quarter million dollars toward reaching Virginia
voters ahead of these pivotal November elections – and we’ll be investing
more so we can flip the House blue.

Our candidates will decide control of the House of Delegates: [ [link removed] ]Will you
take a moment to give as little as $5 to help us directly support each of
these 5 incredible Democratic scientists who are running in the most
pivotal State House races this November?

[ [link removed] ]WIN VIRGINIA!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ Chris ]Chris HindsSusanna Gibson (VA HD-57) – Susanna and Michael (featured
below) are running in 2 of the 4 ONLY State House races rated as “Toss-Up”
ahead of November. Not only will they be the top targets of Republicans
but if we win these two races, Democrats have GREAT odds of winning the
chamber (+70%!).

Susanna is a nurse practitioner and public health expert with nearly two
decades of experience who is making reproductive rights, action on gun
violence, and Paid Family and Medical Leave a cornerstone of her campaign.
Not only would she be one of the only healthcare workers in the state
legislature if elected, but she would be one of the only in the entire
country who has experience with home-based primary care for vulnerable
populations.

This is an open seat that, in 2022, the race for the House was within 0.9%
of the vote!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ Dr. ]Dr. Nina AhmadMichael Feggans (VA HD-97) – Michael is an Air Force
Veteran with more than 20 years of military experience in healthcare
administration and healthcare cybersecurity.

His Republican opponent is a rubber stamp for Far-Right GOP Gov. Glenn
Youngkin who is dedicated to turning Virginia into the next Florida (in
terms of loose gun laws, attacks on LGBTQ+ rights, extreme abortion
restrictions, and targeting public school teachers and healthcare
workers).

The Republican Michael is running against is defending a State House seat
that Joe Biden carried (by a razor-thin margin) so your support absolutely
goes further here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ Dr. ]Dr. Eve Meltzer-KriefAmy Laufer (VA HD-55) – Few people in politics
have a resume like Amy: She’s a first-generation college graduate from a
dairy farm who helped put herself through college as a fish packer before
earning a degree in biology and working as a water analyst and public
educator.

Determined to see more women in office, she founded an organization to
help train and support women to run for local office like the school board
and has helped elect dozens of women before deciding to run for office
herself.

This is an open seat rated as Leans Democratic meaning it’s an incredible
opportunity for us to add another blue seat to the column in the fight to
win the majority.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ Dr. ]Dr. Eve Meltzer-KriefMarty Martinez (VA HD-29) – Like Amy’s race, this
is another open seat rated as Leans Democratic that is a must-win if
Democrats want to win control of the chamber this November.

Marty is an Air Force Veteran with a background in computer science who
represented portions of the district he’s currently running for as the
former Vice Mayor of Leesburg. Leesburg voters rewarded him for his
constant presence within the community (including working with the FAA,
Boy Scouts, coaching local baseball, local Parent Teacher Organizations,
and so much more!) and re-elected him four times in this position.

If elected, Marty will support universal background checks on firearms
sales in Virginia, expanding access to affordable childcare, and
enshrining the protections of Roe v. Wade into law.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ Dr. ]Dr. Eve Meltzer-KriefBonita Anthony (VA HD-92) – Like many of the
Democratic scientists mentioned above, Bonita is also running for an open
seat, meaning a victory in this district would help Democrats exceed the
50+ members needed to win a majority.

Bonita is a university administrator at Virginia State University with a
background in engineering who previously worked as a K-12 educator and is
also a minister in the area. If elected, Bonita will champion Virginia
public school teachers, the right for Virginia women to access
reproductive care, and advocate for ways to better support working and
middle class Virginia families.

If the above candidates all win, Democrats cross the 51-member threshold
and win a majority in the Virginia House of Delegates: [ [link removed] ]Can we count on
you to chip in as little as $5 so we can elect these 5 incredible Virginia
Democrats this November?
