We’ve already got a crowded field of GOP presidential candidates, all vying for victory in the 2024 election.

Mike Pence touted the voter suppression laws he signed as Governor of Indiana when he ran for Vice President alongside Donald Trump in 2016. He continued to support Trump’s voter suppression efforts as Vice President.
Despite narrowly escaping mobs of election-deniers who set out to assault him on January 6, Pence supported baseless conspiracy theories about “voting irregularities” in the 2020 election. He later dismissed the insurrection as “one day in January.”
Pence claimed that the For the People Act, which includes a provision to allow automatic voter registration, would lead to “millions of illegal immigrants [being] quickly registered to vote.”

As Governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley signed a burdensome and restrictive voter ID law that the Department of Justice attempted to block, deeming that it was too discriminatory.
Haley denounced Congress’ For the People Act, which aimed to create federal standards to improve voting access for the first time since the Voting Rights Act of 1965, claiming that it was “unconstitutional and unwise.”
Haley supported and campaigned for election-denying GOP candidates in 2022, like Herschel Walker in Georgia, Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania, and more.

As Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis has signed several extreme voter suppression bills into law — including purging eligible voters from the rolls and creating a special law enforcement unit to investigate so-called “election crimes.”
DeSantis fought to pass a congressional map that intentionally eliminated a district historically held by Black Democrats, taking away critical representation for Black voters from Tallahassee to Jacksonville.
DeSantis endorsed numerous election-denying GOP candidates in 2022 and undermined the severity of the January 6 attack by doubting whether it should qualify as “insurrection.”

Are you convinced yet that we need to stop these bad actors from bringing their anti-voter agendas into the White House?
