Team — 11 years after DACA, we’ve been asking the question: How would life be different with citizenship? 🤔
If I had citizenship instead of temporary DACA protections, I would’ve been able to help care for my grandmother when she first developed Alzheimer’s. It would have given me and my family the chance to say goodbye before she passed away last year.
With citizenship, I wouldn’t have any limits on where I’m allowed to travel or what I’m allowed to do because of my status — what jobs I can have, where I can go to school, and more.
DACA has changed my life and the lives of so many undocumented people like me, but it’s still not enough.
And let’s not forget: the majority of undocumented youth cannot apply to the program today.
We are here to stay and we deserve permanent protections. United We Dream Action is leading the fight to secure a pathway to citizenship from Congress and the Biden administration, but we need you to join us in this fight:
Will you donate today to support our fight for permanent protections? DACA recipients and all undocumented people deserve more.
