I don’t believe in giving up. Even under the most strenuous of circumstances, I believe with hard work, dedication and perseverance, anything is possible.

Let me give you an example: as a teenager, when I was convicted for a crime I had nothing to do with and punished with a life sentence, I still kept my faith in justice.

For almost two decades I wrote scores of letters to attorneys, asking for help on my case.

And then finally, justice prevailed. My conviction was overturned after 20 years. I got my life back, friends.

Now I’m running for Congress in CA-27 with the same mentality of NEVER giving up.

I believe that Members of Congress have a civic responsibility to embrace this mentality of NEVER GIVING UP for their constituents.
