While Republicans announced a national abortion ban to mark one year since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Democrats introduced a slew of bills to expand abortion rights.

We’re aligned with the American people, most of whom support abortion rights. We see this in poll after poll, and in the past year, millions of voters overwhelmingly supported reproductive rights in statewide ballot measures across the country.

So when right-wing policymakers enacted near-total abortion bans in 14 states this past year, they defied the will of the people.

These abortion bans have disproportionately harmed communities already facing oppression, and a national abortion ban would be absolutely devastating. We’ve got to keep fighting against Republicans’ increasingly fascist agenda to take away our rights.
