In it, Kim makes a compelling case as to why we need an experienced veteran in Washington now more than ever. She was the Iran desk officer in the Pentagon, and through her multiple tours of duty in Iraq, she’s seen firsthand the human heartbreak of war. But most importantly, her son followed in her footsteps in the Air Force, so she won’t play dangerous games with the safety of our military men and women.
