John, When Minnesotans swept in a one-seat Democratic governing trifecta last November by a margin of 321 votes, we came together and agreed on two things: First, our mission was to make Minnesota the best place in the country to live, work, and raise a family. And second, that we would use every ounce of our power to make that vision a reality. In other words, we realized we had a one-in-a-generation opportunity to make transformational change, and we weren’t going to let it go to waste. So, while Republicans in other states were banning books, bullying the LGBTQ+ community, and making child labor easier, we got to work protecting the freedoms, safety, and rights of all Minnesotans. We became the first state in the country to codify abortion rights into state law since Roe v. Wade was overturned, banned the harmful practice of conversion “therapy,” made Minnesota a refuge for gender-affirming care, and enacted common sense gun reforms. We put Minnesota on the path to 100% clean energy, passed a budget to give educators the resources they need to teach our children, funded essential projects to rebuild our roads and critical infrastructure, passed universal school meals for Minnesota students, and so much more. The forces of hatred and bigotry are on the march across the country and around the world. But in Minnesota, we came together to make a clear statement: That march stops at our borders. I’m telling you this not to brag (that would be very un-Minnesotan). I’m telling you this because I believe with all my heart that if we come together and rise above the politics of fear and division, every state can be a place where no community is left behind and nobody gets told they don’t belong. If you are ready to embark on this journey with me as we look to defend and expand on our progress over the coming year and beyond, I’m asking you to join our movement by splitting a donation between my campaign and Blue Amp Action today. |
