‌John,

For 45 years, the Supreme Court has recognized the freedom of universities and colleges to build a student body that is diverse and to create a better future through opportunity.

The Supreme Court's decision to strike down affirmative action and roll back decades of precedent will undoubtedly reduce educational opportunities for millions of deserving students.

Chris believes that students from all backgrounds deserve to access, afford, and graduate from higher education institutions with meaningful degrees. As President Biden said, "while talent, creativity, and hard work are everywhere across this country… equal opportunity [is] not everywhere across this country." Affirmative action programs help ensure that our country lives up to its promises of hope and success through determination.

This ruling is not the end of the line for ensuring equity and justice in higher education, John. The Biden administration has already directed the Department of Education to analyze what practices help build a more inclusive and diverse student bodies and what practices hold that back.

If you're ready to stand with Chris and President Biden to promote diversity and access to higher education, add your name to show your support >> [link removed]
