Dear John,

It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting
for our conservative values.

In another major win for the Constitution and the balance of power, the
Supreme Court struck down President Biden’s illegal student loan handout.
Despite what the President thinks, he has no executive fiat to snap his fingers
and make billions of dollars of student debt disappear. That power lies solely
with Congress. It is important to emphasize that this is illegal and a flat-out
bad policy. Not only does this not fix the problem it claims to solve, but it’s
wholly unfair to expect those who did not attend college or have already paid
their loans to foot the bill for someone else.

A federal judge delivered a significant blow to the Biden administration’s
censorship campaign against conservatives. During the pandemic, the
administration shamelessly colluded with Big Tech to muzzle any speech that
didn't toe their line. Lockdown debates, mask skepticism, vaccine concerns, and
even the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell were all suppressed. This is the stuff
of despots, but what else should we expect from a President who created the
‘Ministry of Truth.’ The judge’s injunction will block federal officials from
communicating with tech companies, hampering further efforts to silence
conservatives.

Veterinarians play a crucial role in overseeing the health and well-being of
livestock, including cattle, poultry, hogs, and other animals. A shortage of
able vets, including in western Minnesota, poses a major challenge for farmers.
That’s why I'm leading a bipartisan group of lawmakers to improve the federal
Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program, which offers up to $25,000 a year
for veterinarians who practice in areas with a shortage. My proposed bill would
make the award amount exempt from withholding taxes. If we want to protect our
farmers and, in turn, our ag markets, we need to create incentives and attract
more vets to work in our communities.

As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with.
Thank you for your continued support!
