Team, it’s the most basic principle of our democracy – One person equals one vote.
But right now, far-right Republicans in Columbus are plotting to take away our power by passing a constitutional amendment that would get rid of majority rule, ensure voters are beholden to extreme minority opinions and outside interest groups, and break the fundamental ideals of democracy.
But we have a chance to fight back by voting NO on Issue 1 this August.
If Issue 1 passes, it will strip away power from voters and give it all to politicians and special interest groups.
Ohioans have a long history of fighting for our rights, and this time is no different. We have to stick together to ensure that one person = one vote.
