Often, mother cows and their calves are separated moments after birth.
But Liz and Cashew are a rare exception. We welcomed this mama cow and her four-day-old calf to Farm Sanctuary in 2016. Though dairy industry survivors, they were never separated and today spend their days in step with each other in our care.
Liz and Cashew are outgoing members of the herd — extroverts grounded in their steady bond. They can be spotted together in the pasture — grazing or grooming each other.
Will you befriend Liz and Cashew by adopting them today?
In exchange for a one-time $35 gift, we’ll send you an adoption certificate featuring Liz and Cashew. This symbolic adoption will go towards this delightful duo’s care and more of Farm Sanctuary’s lifesaving work.
We don’t want Liz and Cashew’s story to be a rarity.
