We have the power to end poverty.
John,
Poverty exists because we allow it to exist. America is considered the wealthiest country in the world, yet 140 million people are poor because we have allowed it to be so.
We have the power to end poverty, John. That's why last month, Pramila teamed up with Rep. Barbara Lee to introduce The Third Reconstruction: Fully Addressing Poverty and Low Wages from the Bottom Up Resolution.
Our country stands at a tipping point: we can either maintain an unjust and broken status-quo, or we can choose to prioritize the needs and demands of 140 million poor and vulnerable people. If you're ready to fight to eradicate poverty in our country once and for all with intentional legislation, please add your name in support of The Third Reconstruction: Fully Addressing Poverty and Low Wages from the Bottom Up Resolution.

Poverty is the fourth leading cause of death in America, higher than homicides, and gun violence. This is a policy choice, and Congress has the power to choose to end it.
The Third Reconstruction: Fully Addressing Poverty and Low Wages from the Bottom Up Resolution is one of the first pieces of legislation that seeks to fully eradicate poverty throughout the United States by addressing the injustices of systemic racism, poverty, public health inequity, militarism, and white supremacist nationalist extremism.
Passing this resolution affirms that our nation has the resources, responsibility, and moral obligation to end poverty through low wages, expanding voting rights, comprehensive and just immigration reform, and much more.
Please add your name today to stand with Pramila as we collectively work to eradicate poverty in our nation and build a stronger, sustainable, and supportive country for everyone and not just the privileged few.
Let's do this,
Team Pramila
