In case you missed it, this week Governor Tony Evers used his veto powers in an
ill-willed
<[link removed]>
and“irresponsible”
<[link removed]>
manner. After Wisconsin legislative Republicans reached across the aisle to
negotiate with the Governor and Democratic leaders, Eversbucked the meaningful
compromises
<[link removed]>
with his veto power.
Evers has now made clear that future negotiations with him are futile and
nothing more than lies, since he refused to keep his wordon shared revenue and
K-12 education funding compromises.
<[link removed]>
Evers went out of his way to slap taxpayers in the face by increasing school
funding for over 400 YEARS — a move even the liberal media is calling
irresponsible
<[link removed]>
. The veto willlikely lead to property tax increases
<[link removed]> for Wisconsin homeowners,
at least until future leaders discard his ridiculous actions and change the law.
Evers also ignored the reality of rising prices and took an ax to the
Republican-crafted tax cuts
<[link removed]>. Evers reduced
the GOP tax cut <[link removed]>
from $3.5 billion to $175 million, dropping the average tax cut per taxpayer
from $573 down to a measly $36.
Another clear political move from Evers was chopping the 2024 Republican
National Convention funding by 90%
<[link removed]>
. Visit Milwaukee expected $10 million to “promote Milwaukee as a tourism
destination during the convention.” Evers again took his veto pen and cut the
grant to assist Visit Milwaukee to $1 million.

The latest jobs report showed the economy slowing after years of Bidenflation,
lowering real wages, savings, and incomes for working Wisconsinites. Despite
what Biden and Tammy Baldwin claim, Americans are poorer under the
Biden-Baldwin agenda. According to the U.S. Federal Reserve Board, during the
first quarter of 2023,U.S. households’ savings from the Covid-19 pandemic were
depleted
<[link removed]>
.
Biden and Wisconsin Democrats will also fail to mention the cumulative real
wealth of the middle class has fallen byover $2 TRILLION
<[link removed]> in the last year. This
equals an average loss of $33,000 in real wealth per middle-class household.
Listening to Your Concerns
As a lifetime grassroots activist and leader, WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming
is always eager to hear from fellow Republican activists and has begun reading
many of your responses.
This week’s survey responses from around Wisconsin have been overloading the
Chairman’s mailbox! Chairman Schimming appreciates those who took the time to
write back to the State Party and enjoys learning what you’ve been hearing and
experiencing in your local communities.

Still celebrating America? You should be! Show your patriotism by signing up
to be a poll worker!
Wisconsin poll workers are crucial to ensuring elections run smoothly and
transparently. In the next few months, Wisconsin needs thousands of voters to
sign up to be poll workers!

WisGOP Statement on Tony Evers Signing GOP Authored Budget
<[link removed]>
Yet, despite 26 months of real wages
<[link removed]> and
savings declining for Wisconsin workers, Tony Evers took an ax to the
GOP-authored tax cuts — cutting the historic $3.5 billion tax cuts by 95% —
which would offer workers, farmers, families, and small businesses relief after
months of rampant inflation and economic uncertainty.”
WisGOP Announces 2024 Republican National Convention Appointments
<[link removed]>
Today, the Republican Party of Wisconsin announced the appointment of all
three Republican National Committee (RNC) Members from Wisconsin to serve on
the Committee on Arrangements (COA) for the 2024 Republican National
Convention. Chairman Brian Schimming, National Committeeman Tom Schreibel, and
National Committeewoman Maripat Krueger are looking forward to working
alongside appointees from across the nation as Wisconsin prepares to nominate
the 2024 Republican Presidential nominee.
Bidenomics Overshadows Fourth of July Fireworks
<[link removed]>
This Fourth of July, Wisconsinites know their savings
<[link removed]> are down,
real wages <[link removed]> are down, and
they have little to no confidence in theeconomy
<[link removed]>. Unlike Joe
Biden, the numbers don’t lie —“Bidenomics”
<[link removed]> are not
working for Wisconsin. As Wisconsinites prepare to celebrate America’s
birthday, they are bracing for the price tags attached to 4th of July cookouts
— nearly14% higher than the cost of 2021.
<[link removed]>
This Independence Day, the fireworks will be overshadowed by skyrocketing
bills.
Wisconsin Democrats Sweep Declining Math and Reading Scores Under the Rug;
Wisconsin Republicans Take Action
<[link removed]>
Wisconsin students’ declining standardized test scores
<[link removed]>
have been a major focus for Wisconsin Republicans who are prioritizing
improving Wisconsin schools —data last fall
<[link removed]>
revealed that fewer than half of Wisconsin students are proficient in English
language and mathematics — afterWisconsin Democrats’ kowtowed
<[link removed]>
toTeachers Unions’
<[link removed]>
, allowing school closures and excessive remote learning.
ICYMI: Tammy Baldwin lives in glass houses, throws stones
<[link removed]>
Tammy Baldwin is seemingly unfamiliar with the saying, “those who live in
glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. In case you missed it, career politician
Baldwin’s hypocritical rhetoric was on display again recently. The politician
who has spent her career living off taxpayers’ wallets recently took shots at a
Wisconsin Republican businessman.
