It's been over a year since our rights were rescinded.
John - On June 24th, 2022, the Supreme Court rolled back 50 years of precedent on the basis of privacy and freedom to engage in personal healthcare choices. There are now women who were born with this right only to see it taken away. The news is rapidly evolving around this subject, so please: will you join our fight to restore our reproductive rights?

According to the Guttmacher Institute: "Abortion is completely banned in 13 states (Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia)."
This week, Iowa's governor called for a special session to move forward with a near-total ban even though the current ban has been deadlocked in the state's Supreme Court. Other states had laws that immediately took effect; however, they have since been challenged in state courts and are in legal limbo.
Southern states led by Republican majorities have entertained the death penalty and homicide charges for doctors and patients seeking abortion-related care. With the fall of Roe, other legal precedents have been called into question, like access to contraception and other privacy-related concerns. Several states, which do not have effective bans, make accessing this care incredibly difficult, with waiting periods, multiple doctor visits, and even requiring doctors to give misleading or false information on the impact of abortion procedures.
Donald Trump made it clear that he and the Republican party are proud of the fallout post-Roe and are the sole reason that Roe was overturned. Regardless of the lives it impacts or the healthcare it jeopardizes, their political agenda matters to win votes and to capitulate to the far-right.
John, enough is enough. We have to fight back against the radical right and their attacks on freedom and the right to make our own healthcare decisions. Help us by chipping in today.
