Before SCOTUS packed up their things, ended their term, and headed home for the 4th of July, they once again made a decision that will negatively impact millions of Americans. In their ruling on Biden v. Nebraska, the Trump-stacked SCOTUS rejected President Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Plan. 

From the beginning, this plan put forth by President Biden was designed to help lift some of the burden off the shoulders of Americans — by forgiving some of their student loan debt. 43 million Americans were set to benefit from nearly $20,000 in student loan forgiveness.

But MAGA Republicans quickly attacked the program — even though they previously accepted thousands in their own loan relief — because it's “unfair". And SCOTUS agreed with them. So, add students to the list of Americans being held hostage by a radically conservative SCOTUS. 

Look, Eric believes that quality education helps students grow and our communities thrive. And ultimately, getting the education millions of Americans need to compete in today's economy shouldn’t be coupled with a lifetime of debt. 

That's what's unfair.
