Folks,

We first started updating you on the work of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence when Mark Warner was the ranking member, working to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 Election. Now as chairman, Senator Warner wants you to know how critical this committee’s work continues to be in our everyday lives.

The Intel Committee is responsible for solving a lot of our country’s most pressing issues – think election security, artificial intelligence, and even a certain former President’s inability to find classified documents that are missing discussing high-stakes military operations.

Before we dive into Mark’s latest legislation recently passed by the committee, we wanted to ask if you can donate $5 to help us kickstart our July fundraising efforts so Senator Warner can continue his critical work in the Senate to keep our country safe.

Now let’s get to it. Senator Warner’s latest bipartisan bill, the Intelligence Authorization Act is the annual bill that gives our intelligence community legal authority and sets the oversight boundaries of their important work. It’s how Congress makes sure America’s intelligence agencies have the resources they need to protect our country. Here’s how the bill will meet the emerging challenges we face:

*The bill will strengthen America’s voting systems by requiring that they go through simulated attacks to pass the certification process, allowing for the discovery of potential weaknesses before they can be exploited by any adversaries.

*It will track national security threats posed by other nations, like China, by overseeing predatory economic activities, political influence operations, and military capabilities.

*The Intelligence Authorization Act will also reform our nation’s security classification system by reducing overclassification and preventing mishandling of classified information so we can improve public trust in our government.

And that’s just the beginning. The Intelligence Authorization Act will help our country counter the unprecedented threats we face both here at home and abroad.

After the numerous controversies of the Trump years, Senator Warner knows: It’s past time to improve public trust. This bill can make that happen.

Stand with Mark while he works to tackle election security, AI, and more, by donating anything you can today >> [link removed]

Thank you,

Team Warner
