Happy Friday! Here's a few quick Netroots Nation updates:

• After the opening keynote on Thursday, head over to the Grand Ballroom for an opening reception sponsored by Black Male Voter Project. After a busy day of panels and training sessions, connect with old and new friends as you power up with appetizers and drinks. During the reception, Mayor Brandon Johnson will act as a 'Server for An Hour’ in solidarity with Chicago’s tipped workers and One Fair Wage.

• On Friday after the keynote, don't miss Fantasy Indictment League Panel & Comedy Hour. Allison Gill (known as AG from Mueller She Wrote and host of the Daily Beans, Jack, and Cleanup on Aisle 45 podcasts) will host a Q&A panel with former Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks, former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti, and Victor Shi of I Gen Politics and On The Move. We’ll discuss the indictments of Donald Trump, celebrate the rule of law, and follow it up with some political comedy as we enjoy cocktails and mocktails.

• If you are coming in early or are local to Chicago, we have two pre-conference trainings happening Wednesday evening: Activism in Overdrive: How to Use the Powers of Art to Have More Impact and Ready, Set, Run for Something. Both events are happening at the Chicago Hilton at 5 p.m. and are FREE to attend, whether or not you are registered for Netroots Nation 2023. You do need to RSVP though, so click the links above to save your spot.
