We’re introducing something new to your inbox: a regular e-newsletter for all IJM supporters!
Throughout the year we’ll send you the latest news and stories about IJM, our survivors and how this movement is growing. You’re fighting to end slavery in our lifetime, so we want to ensure you never miss the stories you make possible.
Your friends at IJM
The Global Slavery Index estimates that Romania has one of the highest populations living in slavery in Eastern Europe. IJM is responding by opening our first office in Central and Eastern Europe and bringing our global expertise in combatting human trafficking to the region.
The New Activist podcast is taking you deep into the heart of human trafficking through Esther’s* story on Lake Volta. Explore the complexities of slavery, rescue and even freedom in our first ever five-part series.
In January, we introduced you to Abha who was trafficked in Mumbai when she was only 13. We’re excited to share with you that Abha is close to getting the justice she deserves. We’re continuing to fight for justice in court, and expect closing arguments to happen in the next few weeks.
The video-hosting site Vimeo nominated IJM’s channel as one of their “Best of the Year.” The recognition is a testament to the powerful stories of survivors that we are privileged to share.
