Safety is a paramount concern for every Memphian, and I firmly believe that it's time for thoughtful, swift, and decisive action to restore security in our communities. 

The rise in senseless gun violence has left far too many families devastated, while others live in constant fear due to unfathomable criminal acts, property crime and reckless driving. The prevailing sense of unease and the deteriorating perception of safety must be addressed head-on.

To tackle this problem, I advocate for a balanced, multi-pronged approach. We must suppress violent crime by promptly apprehending those responsible and preventing them from reoffending. Secondly, we must focus on crime prevention through a data-driven approach. By tracking trends in areas such as petty crime, truancy, and suspensions, we can proactively identify individuals who are likely to become future perpetrators and implement intervention programs to deter them from a life of crime.

Now, more than ever, Memphis needs dedicated leaders who understand the unique challenges we face and who are ready to confront them head-on. I am ready to be that leader, but I cannot do it alone. I humbly ask for your support in this campaign.
