In the midst of an unprecedented housing crisis, Attorney General Rob Bonta is fighting for California renters who use Section 8 Vouchers.
After the CA Department of Justice was tipped off that some local housing authorities had approved rent increases beyond what is allowed under the Tenant Protection Act, Rob sent letters to every single Housing Authority in the state reminding them that California law protects tenants who use Section 8 vouchers from unjust rent increases.
Rob is hard at work advancing housing access, affordability, and equity in California. He's determined to defend and enforce state laws aimed at increasing housing supply and providing housing security and stability for all Californians.
We want to make sure that Rob stays in a position to ensure our most vulnerable Californians continue to have housing. Housing is a human right. And as California’s Attorney General, Rob will always defend that right.
